imageScott chats with Chris from Secret Labs about the Netduino Open Source hardware platform. How does Netduino and Netduino Plus relate to the .NET Micro Framework and which parts of Open Source? What can I build with it and it how? What kinds of capabilities does this little piece of hardware have, and can it give even smaller?

Hey Scott. Great to see you're having fun with Netduino. Just wanted to give a shout-out to the guys at GHI who created the Fez boards, drivers, etc.

I recently picked up a Fez Domino which, while a little more expensive than a Netduino, is a whole heck of a lot more capable. The Domino runs a 72MHz ARM CPU, has 148KB available flash, 62KB available RAM, both USB device & USB host sockets, SD card socket, is Arduino pinout compatible and it's open-source hardware too :)

Well worth a look if you need to do more processing on your embedded projects.

These things sound awesome, if only there was a place to buy them. ;-)

This was a great podcast. Since listening to it, I purchased the Fez Panda board and withing hours I had LEDs arrays working and have a few projects in sight. It is amazing how much progress have been made in this area since the last time I program a micro controller. Keep up the good work, if it wasn't for your podcast, I would not be aware of this technology.
