I have a "whenever I get around to doing it" Newsletter of Wonderful Things. Why a newsletter? I dunno. It seems more personal somehow. Fight me.

You can view all the previous newsletters here. You can sign up here to the Newsletter of Wonderful Thingsor just wait and get them some weeks later on the blog, which hopefully you have subscribed to. If you're signed up via email, you'll get all the goodness FIRST. I also encourage you to subscribe to my blog. You can also have all my blog posts delivered via email if you like.

Here's the last Newsletter from December. Subscribers get the new one first. ;)

Hi Interfriends,

Thanks again for signing up for this experiment. Here's some interesting things I've come upon this week. If you forwarded this (or if it was forwarded to you) a reminder: You can sign up at http://hanselman.com/newsletter and the archive of all previous Newsletters is here.

Remember, you get the newsletter here first. This one will be posted to the blog as an archive in a few weeks.

Am i the only one who likes the irony of the copy and pasted "personal touch message" that precedes each news letter ;-)

I do like the software gems that pop up on here, cmder looks almost exactly what im currently looking for, does any one know if it has something similar to a snippets menu? Or a SSH client with macro and snippet functionality for windows?

why would you start with "moving without mom". now i got too many feels.
January 22, 2014 13:36
'Moving without Mom' isn't poigant, it's creepy. Just think about the social roles and expectations of a man and wife on their wedding day. Now this guy has replicated that with his small child?

Er. Weird. Stop propagating the weirdness Scott!

Newsletter is still full of gems though!

Heads up people. The "Pharrell's amazing 24 hour music video" site has a very NSFW link that is very easy unknowingly click on...

Scott, Perhaps you could add a "Warning: NSFW link on page" to the "Pharrell's amazing 24 hour music video" link?

Unless I'm missing something, "Great cartoon that explains how Bitcoin works." is a bit misleading - a better title might be something like "Cartoon claims that it explains how Bitcoin works but only part 1 is currently available which explains nothing". :-(
