Have to say you are lucky. We had 3 times of ultrasound but none of them could tell if my little one is a girl or boy. we only knew it in the last min. It's a girl who is 2 and half month now.
Congrats - as a Father of a nearly 2 year old little girl I can heartily recommend the Contented Baby Book (Gina Ford) (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0091882338/202-1669005-0062259) for maintaining your sanity
Quote from Chandler (from 'Friends'): I don't know what it is, but I think it's attacking the Enterprise.

That's better than being told that it's a boy, but it ends up coming out a girl. :) That's what happened to my brother when my niece was born.
Congrats Scott!

I'm wondering why on Scott's blog, it seems that everytime someone posts a comment, I get a notification in my blog viewer, aggregrator, or whatever it is bloglines does for me saying there is a new post. I head over, just waiting to see what interesting piece of news Scott has to tell me, then... nothing is there.
Any hints?

Congratulations! Someday you'll show your son this blog post and he'll realize he had a connection to blogging before he was even born.
Then he'll lament the fact he didn't have an agent in place yet to negotiate distribution rights of his photo.

That's great! His cousins will be sure to want to play dress up with! Cindrella comes to mind.
John is a great name Scott with permission you can even go to Jack...

Congrats, Scott! I'm right there with you. My wife and I just had our first ultrasound yesterday, where we too found out we were having a boy! I wrote more about it on my blog. And of course, no baby news would be complete without ultrasound pics. =)

I want kids, but I'm terrified. Thanks for taking the plunge so I can watch as events unfold. Your success in this will help to make or break my decision to bring more humans into the world.
Also, before everything goes too crazy, I think we should do a small tattoo marking your hairline now and then check it one year after your child is born.
This is going to be very interesting...

Very clear picture! So now the hunt for a name begins (one I found most daunting, esp. for boys)
Way to go Scott! Being a father of five children I can honestly say - what a tremendous responsibility and opportunity. The best investment you'll find. You're a rich and blessed man! Enjoy the journey!
Just chiming in along with everyone else...congratulations! My daughter is now a year and a half and it's been the hardest thing I've ever done (with marriage coming in a close second), but having said that it's also tied for the most rewarding thing in my life (with marriage being the other one). My only bit of advice...take advantage of our benefits and take off as much time as you can during the birth and immediately after.
Good luck!
